getting dirty

There has rarely been a time

when folding up a paper crane hasn't relaxed me. Working with my hand to create images, objects, or even crescent rolls is when I typically have the most fun. That Myers-Briggs analysis was right. Tactile activities really help to balance the wildly intuitive portion of my personality and doing things like hand sketches and fiddling with objects around are important to help focus my energy and really immerse myself into a project.

shiny things

I once had the tagline,

"I like shiny things." That is a simplified way of saying that anything that stimulates the senses is a gift. I feel most alive when I can see, hear, feel and taste things and having those visceral experiences stimulates my imagination. Any chance my eyes have to get lost in a picture plain is sheer delight.

adventure1

Embedded in my upbringing

is the joy of digging up the undiscovered. Getting lost doesn't scare me nor discourage me from finding my way and uncovering hidden treasures - it's always a thrill! Exploring wilderness, cities and everything in between gives me great energy and finding new expressions of culture and creativity is incredibly inspiring.
